The Birds is a series of three A1 dimension paintings. Inspiration for these came from Alfred Hitchcocks classic suspense thriller film 'The Birds'.The paintings incorporate a 1960s female icon with a bird painted with black and white acrylic onto vinyl wallpaper. The wallpaper had a shiny surface so I had to apply a white wash first then painted the figures on.
The first painting is of Twiggy with an Old World Flycatcher, the second is Audrey Hepburn with a Wagtail and the last one is of Tippi Hendren from the original film 'The Birds' with a Blue Tit.
I highly recommend you watch the movie!
